Whistler's Sisters

What is Whistler's Sisters?

Whistler's Sisters is a community association dedicated to personal safety. We are devoted to keeping this neighborhood safe for all the adults and children who enjoy this space. We believe the police are supportive of this cause, and we believe they can only help us as much as we help ourselves.

To that end we:

?• Post ''heads up'' reports on this site when we hear reports of incidents. Please notice these are reports, not charges. No descriptions or identifying information is included.

?• Disseminate as much information as legally feasible, as quickly as possible, so that citizens can stay informed without being needlessly alarmed.

?• Prepare periodic newsletters and safety bulletins which are distributed in the community.

?• Share information about crime prevention and personal safety strategies, including self defense classes and tip sheets.

?• Encourage attendance at city and neighborhood meetings related to personal safety and any issues concerning our community.

?• Support all efforts of police and officials to provide increased personal safety.

What can you do to help?

1. Report all crimes that you witness to the Milwaukee Police Department immediately.

2. Be observant of any suspicious behavior and record pertinent information such as license plate, physical description of the suspicious person, time of day it occured, a detailed description of the behavior you witnessed and inform the police.

3. Form a block watch for your neighborhood.

4. Talk to your neighbors!
