Wildwood Homeowner's Association Newsletter - December 2001

Jun 02, 2002

FROM THE PRESIDENT: Wayne Valentine

As our year comes to an end, I can unequivocally say without hesitation that this year has been a tremendous challenge. With the tragedy of September 11, 2001 and the other acts that followed, we are still thankful for the blessings that we continue to enjoy. As we mourn the losses from those tragic acts, we must continue to look forward and be ever resolved in our efforts to defeat those who would perpetrate these acts. Let?’s continue to take charge of our lives and not allow these perpetrators to determine how we live.

At this point I will not chronicle our year but acknowledge that the Wildwood Homeowner?’s Association, as a team, has continued to grow and address issues and concerns that affect our neighborhood and city. Thanks to all of our homeowners that helped in making this year one that I hope we all will remember fondly. May your holidays be safe and joyful!!

DESOTO CLEAN STREET OF THE MONTH FOR MARCH AND OCTOBER 2001:

LABELING OF STORM DRAINS IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD:
Volunteers are needed to help in the labeling of the storm drains on our streets. This is a two part program (1) place a label on the drain and (2) place a door hanger on each house to inform the homeowner about the purpose of this program. The label will read (THIS DRAIN FOR RAIN ?– DON?’T DUMP). This is something that everyone can help with. Please give me a call Wayne Valentine, 972 230 3367)

WILDWOOD ENTRYWAY PROJECT
This project is part of our efforts to improve the appearance of our neighborhood. The original entryway at Beltline Road and Wildwood Drive is approximately 20 years of age ?– maybe a new suit will help spruce it up a bit??? Help make a difference ?– make a contribution ?– pay your Homeowner?’s Association dues. Please mail your contribution to WWHA, P.0. Box 1121, Desoto, Texas 75123.
