CRIME REPORT; 11-08-2010

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered over the weekend…

 

At about 1:05am Sunday morning, Officer Sumrall was dispatched to a rollover car accident in the 6900 block of S. Clack St. He contacted a 26 year old San Angelo man who was found to have been driving the car, and he was also found to be intoxicated. It was also discovered that the man had two previous DWI convictions. The man was arrested for Felony Driving While Intoxicated.

 

At about 1:40pm Officer Duff Phipps was stopped a car in the 700b lock of E Ambler for a routine traffic stop. The 27 year old male driver was contacted and found to have a warrant for Engaging in Organized Activity.

 

Finally, at about 12:09 Sunday morning, Officer Patrick Perez was dispatched to a Burglary of a Vehicle call in the 2200 block of Butternut St.   He contacted the victim, who advised that someone cut the convertible top of his car and took stereo equipment and parts of the dash of the car valued at $4,000. 00. A report was taken for Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.

CRIME REPORT; 11-09-10

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 4:25pm, Officer Woods was dispatched to a call of Criminal Trespass in the 1800 block of Pine St. He contacted 52 year old male at the location and it was found that this man had previously been warned to stay off of the property. This man refused to leave the property when instructed to do so, so he was arrested for Criminal Trespass.

 

At about 7:32pm, Officer Holmes was dispatched to a call of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in the 300 block of Cockerell. During the course of investigating this situation, Officers contacted two 19 year old males who were found to have warrants for their arrest. One 19 year old was arrested on a parole violation and the other was arrested on local traffic warrants.

 

Finally, at about 12:53am this morning, Officer Valdez made a traffic stop in the 3200 block. He contacted a 40 year old female passenger who admitted to having a crack pipe in her possession. This female was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and for having an open container of alcoholic beverage.

CRIME REPORT; 11-10-10

   

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 4:00pm yesterday afternoon, Officer Bryan was dispatched to a call of a possible intoxicated person in the 800 block of E Hwy 80. Officer Bryan contacted a 32 year old Ft Worth man who was passed out on the side of the roadway. The man had a couple of empty 40oz malt beer bottles nearby, and another that still contained beverage. The man was found to be very intoxicated and was arrested for Public Intoxication.

 

At about 8:20pm, Officer Bryan stopped a car in the 700 block of N Judge Ely Blvd after the car made a wide right turn, almost causing an accident. Officer Bryan contacted the driver of the car, a 21 year old female, who was found to have an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear. This person was arrested and booked into the Taylor County Jail.

 

Finally, at about 12:15 am this morning, Officer Allen was dispatched to a disturbance in the 23oo block of Fannin. Multiple people were in a yard and were involved in a physical altercation. One of the people involved was a 19 year old man, was loud and using abusive language and making an unreasonable noise in a public place. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Further investigation revealed that the man was in possession of a useable amount of marijuana, and he was charged with Class “B” Possession of Marijuana also. 

CRIME REPORT; 11-11-10

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 10:00 P.M. last night Officer Valentine stopped a vehicle in the 1600 block of North 11th for a defective brake light.  Upon further investigation, a K9 unit was called to assist and the K9 alerted on the vehicle.  It was found that the passenger of this vehicle, a 25 year old male, was in possession of a useable amount of marijuana.  This subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

At about 2:20 A.M. this morning, Officer Romero stopped a vehicle in the 1900 block of North Willis for making a wide right turn.  The driver of this vehicle, a 30 year old male, was found to have an invalid driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

Finally, with today being Veteran’s Day the Abilene Police Department would like to Thank all our present and past military men and women for their service and sacrifices.
