CRIME REPORT; 01-03-11

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered over the weekend…

 

At about 4:53 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 1600 block of Pine for disobeying a stop sign.  After contacting the driver, a 32 year old male, a K-9 was called to the traffic stop.  The K-9 alerted on the vehicle and the vehicle was searched.  During the search, a useable amount of marijuana was located.  The male was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

 

At about 9:55 P.M. last night, Officer Valdez stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Shelton for a parking violation.  Upon contacting the driver, a 22 year old male, the odor of burnt marijuana could be smelled coming from the vehicle.  A search of the driver revealed that he was in possession of a useable amount of marijuana.  He was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

 

Finally at about 10:45 P.M. last night, Officer Hall stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Hawthorne for no license plate light.  After contacting the driver, a 21 year old male, a K-9 was called to the traffic stop.  The K-9 alerted on the vehicle and the vehicle was searched.  During the search, a useable amount of marijuana was located.  The male was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

CRIME REPORT; 01-04-11

 

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 6:03 P.M. last night, Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 2700 block of South 1st for failing to signal a turn.  The driver, a 41 year old male, was found to have a suspended drivers license and prior drug history.  A K-9 was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle.  During the search of the vehicle a useable amount of marijuana was located.  The male subject was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid and Possession of Marijuana.

 

At about 7:00 P.M. last night, Officer Scott stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of South Pioneer for failing to signal a turn.  Upon contacting the driver, a 26 year old male, it was found that his driver’s license was suspended.  When Officer Scott returned back to the subject’s vehicle he noticed that the male was trying to hide a pill bottle behind the driver’s seat.  The driver also had water on his hands, face and in the pill bottle.  Residue inside the pill bottle tested positive for cocaine.  The subject was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Evidence and Driving While License Invalid.

 

Finally at about 8:15 P.M. last night, Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of North Jefferson for turning into the wrong lane and almost causing an accident.  The driver, a 36 year old female, was found to have a local traffic warrant for her arrest.  She was taken into custody for this warrant and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

CRIME REPORT; 01-05-11

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 4:00 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Scott responded to a call of a disturbance in the 300 block of North Mockingbird.  Upon arrival a 20 year old female was contacted as one of the involved parties.  She became uncooperative and tried to leave.  The officer told her not to leave and she began to yell and cause a breach of the peace.  She was then taken into custody and charged with Disorderly Conduct.

 

At about 6:15 P.M. last night, Officer Walker was dispatched to a disturbance in the 1000 block of South Treadaway.  A 49 year old male was inside a local store causing a disturbance and was refusing to leave.  Upon contacting this subject it was found that he was intoxicated.  He was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

Finally at about 5:25 A.M. this morning, Officer Villarreal responded to a possible location of a wanted subject in the 1100 block of South 7th.  This subject was located and arrested for the outstanding warrant.  The warrant was a felony warrant for a False Vehicle Registration.

CRIME REPORT; 01-06-11

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 5:10 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Dixon assisted Detective Scalf on a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Treadaway.  Detective Scalf had stopped a vehicle for driving recklessly.  The driver, a 44 year old female appeared to be intoxicated.  She did perform the field sobriety tests and failed.  The female subject was found to have 4 prior convictions for Driving While Intoxicated.  It was also found that there was a child in the vehicle with her.  She was arrested and charged with a Felony Driving While Intoxicated.

 

At about 6:25 P.M., Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 2100 block of Shelton for driving in two lanes of traffic.  Upon contacting the driver, a 51 year old male, he was found to be highly intoxicated.  The male subject had 5 prior convictions for Driving While Intoxicated.  A blood specimen was taken for testing.  He was arrested and charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated.

 

Finally, at about 10:30 P.M. last night, Officer Compton and several other officers responded to a disturbance call at a local bar in the 1000 block of North Mockingbird.  A vehicle was seen leaving the bar at a high rate of speed and ran a red light.  This vehicle was stopped and the driver, a 30 year old male, was found to be intoxicated.  During this investigation, it was also found that the driver had severely injured another subject by beating him.  The driver was arrested for Aggravated Assault and Driving While Intoxicated.
