Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…
At about 12:05 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Blankenship stopped a vehicle in the 4200 block of North 1st for an expired registration. The driver, a 24 year old male, was found to have a suspended driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and charged with Driving While License Invalid.
At about 10:30 P.M. last night, Officer Davis responded to a call of subjects smoking marijuana in the 3000 block of Westlake Road. Upon arrival Officer Davis located a vehicle parked in the parking lot with two occupants. After contacting these two individuals the odor of marijuana could be smelt coming from the vehicle. Two 18 year old males were in the vehicle and admitted to being in possession of marijuana. They were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.
Finally at about 10:45 P.M. last night, Officer Walker observed a suspicious subject standing behind a convenience store in the 100 block of Burger. When he turned around to contact the subject he was gone. As Officer Walker checked the area around the building he located the 27 year old male. When the male subject saw the officer he dropped a small plastic bag. He was detained and the bag was recovered. Inside the bag officers found a useable amount of cocaine. He was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
