CRIME REPORT; 8-19-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday at 6:10 PM Officer Kevin Ohnheiser stopped a vehicle in the 1600 blk of Sandefer for no seatbelt.  The driver had a cup of beer in the car.  The driver appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  This female driver was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to the Taylor County Jail where she provided a breath sample.  The results were 0.082 and 0.081.  The legal limit is 0.08.

 

At 11:05 PM Chief Stan Standridge stopped a vehicle in the 1400 blk of Elmwood for driving on the curb.  The driver appeared to be under the influence of drugs and  Officer Chris Lazirko arrived on scene and administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests which this female driver failed.  She was placed under arrest and transported to the Abilene Regional Medical Center for a blood draw with the results pending.  She was then transported to the Taylor County Jail. 

 

And finally at 11:20 PM Agents of the Special Operations Division stopped a vehicle in the 2000 blk of E I-20 for a traffic offense.  A K-9 alerted on the vehicle and a female passenger surrendered 2.5 g of Heroin.  She was placed under arrest for Delivery of Heroin.

CRIME REPORT; 8-22-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday at 1:45 AM Officer Mike Janusz responded to a theft call at south side business.  A male subject had loaded a shopping cart full of merchandise and left the store without paying.  He was detained by store security.  Officer Janusz placed this man under arrest and then discovered that he had outstanding warrants for Possession of Marijuana, Driving with an Invalid License and an Expired Inspection Sticker.  He was arrested for the warrants and also charged with Theft. 

 

At 7:25 PM Officer Brian Poyner was dispatched to an accident at Johnson Park.  Officer Poyner saw that one of the drivers appeared intoxicated and administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  This male subject refused to perform the test and was placed under arrest.  He provided a breath sample with the results of 0.168 and 0.162.  The legal limit is 0.08.  This man was charged with DWI with accident. 

 

And finally at 11:10 PM Officer Jake Weise was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 4400 blk of Antilley.  Officer Weise contacted a man there who had been warned previously of Criminal Trespass.  This man was placed under arrest for Criminal Trespass.  He was then found to be in possession of Hydrocodone without a prescription.  He was also charged with Possession of Hydrocodone.

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday at 8:20 PM Officer Mary Guitar contacted a man in the 5300 blk of Laguna who had an outstanding warrant for Possession of Marijuana.  Officer Guitar placed him under arrest and found him to be in possession of more marijuana.  He was also charged with Possession of Marijuana in addition to the warrant.

 

At 10:00 PM Sgt Tim Keawmanee observed a car driving the wrong way in the 2100 blk of N Treadaway.  Officer Matt Allen then observed the car run a red light at Ambler and Hickory and another at Ambler and Pine.  This car was stopped at Ambler and Treadaway.  The male driver appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety tests.  He was  placed under arrest for DWI and provided a breath sample.  The results were 0.175 and 0.177.  The legal limit 0.08.   

 

And finally Sgt Jason Haak stopped a car for traffic violations in the 1900 blk of S 16th.  When Sgt Haak went to contact the male driver he saw in plain view a firearm and a substance he suspected to be meth amphetamine.  The driver appeared intoxicated but refused the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He was placed under arrest and refused to provide a breath sample.  He was charged with Possession of Meth Amphetamine and DWI.

CRIME REPORT; 8-24-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday at 1:35 PM Officer Terrell Perkins was dispatched to a north side business for a Theft call.  Loss prevention had detained a male subject for taking a computer hard drive and leaving without paying for it.  This man was charged with Theft.

 

At about 4:15 PM Sgt Mike Phipps observed a vehicle driving erratically and hitting the curb.  Officer Anthony Joeris stopped this car in the 2400 blk of Sayles.  The male driver appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He was placed under arrest and provided a breath sample.  The results were 0.110 and 0.104.  The man was also discovered to be in possession of Marijuana.  He was charged with Possession of Marijuana and also DWI with an open container and a child passenger.

 

And finally at 12:30 AM Officer Brandon Scott was dispatched to a burglary in progress call in the 200 blk of Arnold.  The home owner had detained a male and female subject after they entered his residence.  A third male subject fled on foot and was apprehended a short time later.  All three will be charged with Burglary of a Habitation.
