CRIME REPORT; 8-30-11
Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…
Yesterday at 7:30 PM Officer Darren Ruiz was dispatched to a disturbance in the 6100 blk of Texas. A female victim there said that a male subject had slapped her in the face and then pointed a firearm at her and threatened to shoot her. This male subject was contacted a short distance away. He immediately surrendered a crack pipe and several small baggies. This male subject was placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault Family Violence and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He also had several outstanding traffic warrants.
At 9:00 PM Officer Mary Guitar was dispatched to a criminal mischief in progress in the 5100 blk of Hwy 277. A male subject was reported to be damaging an ATM machine. Officer Guitar contacted this male subject by the ATM machine. He consented to a search of his person and Officer Guitar located a bag of marijuana in his pocket. He was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana. The damage to the ATM machine is still under investigation.
And finally at 12:55 AM Sgt Jim Hancock stopped a vehicle in the 1700 blk of Ambler for running a red light. The female driver appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. She was placed under arrest and provided a breath sample. The results were 0.15 and 0.14. The legal limit is 0.08. She was charged with DWI
