Camp Golden Bear

Summer Time

Camp Golden Bear is an overnight camping experience held on the beautiful grounds of Cedar Ridge Camp, located in eastern Jefferson County. Single women and families experiencing homelessness are invited to spend a weekend enjoying camping and outdoor activities. Mothers and fathers in substance abuse recovery who do not currently have custody of their children but do have visits are encouraged to reconnect with their children for a weekend of family fun. WCAN members help plan and staff this event with assistance from area shelter representatives. This will be the 13th year for Camp Golden Bear.

The next camp is scheduled for July 29-31, 2011. We hope to have the funds and volunteers to make this a two day event.
