The Women and Children’s Advocacy Network (WCAN) is a group of local service providers and business representatives who meet monthly to discuss issues affecting women and families experiencing homelessness in our community. In addition to advocacy efforts, WCAN members plan annual events to help those without stable housing to have access to community resources and recreational activities. These events include a health screening, a family day at the zoo, and a weekend camping trip for single women and families residing in local shelters.
We at WCAN would like to invite you to join us at our next monthly meeting to learn more about our group and to consider becoming a part of WCAN. Additionally, please share this information and this invitation with other members of your organization. We always welcome visitors and are excited to have new members join our group. Participating in WCAN can help you to learn more about current events and resources to share with your clients, including program changes and client openings. Additionally, WCAN gives professionals the opportunity to network with each other. In OUR PAGES is WCAN New Member information for your review. I hope this information will give you a better understanding of WCAN. Together, we can enhance the health and quality of life for women and families experiencing homelessness in our community.
If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us to learn more about WCAN.
Thanks,
