Meeting Report:
OLD BUSINESS:
- Treasurer’s Reports through September 2009 were approved. The Laurens Electric review exposed some late payments & this situation has been resolved with AMG.
- Gratitude was expressed for vast improvement made on the Baltz properties.
- Concerning the request to a homeowner for his trailer to be removed, Rea Tinsley will be asked to check on his response. Should he refuse, the motion was passed that Rea will then communicate that a letter from our lawyer will be addressed to him.
- Related to the topic of what can & cannot be stored on residential properties, board members are urged to submit suggested amendments to the By-laws prior to the November 16th meeting.
- Kristin Decker provided a full report on the possibilities for participating homeowners to benefit from a 36-month contract with Waste Management starting January 1, 2010. These contracts will be sent by WM and the company will honor as low as 20 positive responses. It was recommended that a WM representative attend the November 16th meeting to answer further questions.
- Woodington entrance: George Padgett volunteered to accomplish needed work such as the removal of four bushes as requested in a motion by the board. It is hoped that irrigation estimates will be presented at the next meeting. A new sign for “No Solicitation” is needed.
- It was noted that the Fall Yard Sale on October 10, 2009, experienced a low participation by homeowners. The board again thanks Jim Brockman for his coordination of this event.
