Board Meeting, November 16, 2009
7:00 p.m., 8 Southfield Drive
Board Members:
Present: Kristin Decker, John Hopkins, and Kristine Lynch with Brian James and George Padgett on the Architectural Committee
Absent: Jeff Atkinson and Richard LaCroix
Woodington Board Proceedings:
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by President Kristine Lynch at the home of Kristin Decker.
The October 12, 2009, Minutes were approved.
Meeting Report:
OLD BUSINESS:
- Treasurer’s Reports through October 2009 were approved.
- Rea Tinsley of AMG will be asked to arrange a meeting of the board as soon as possible with Attorney Everette H. Babb of Babb & Brown on West Butler Road to receive legal advice on: a) Trailer & boat situation; b) Understanding & wording of Covenants. The posture of a trailer that homeowner will not move it until there is consistent adherence to the Covenants by all residents.
- The following action item was approved concerning how to proceed with contract proposal by Waste Management: A letter will be sent to all 66 homes explaining the Waste Management plan in detail including that the starting date would depend on when the other bill is completed. This is a volunteer program and the letter will be sent by AMG – hopefully at least 20 positive responses will be confirmed. The Board thanks Kristin Decker, V-P, for her good work on this.
- Two new neighbors were welcomed by Brian James and Richard LaCroix.
- We thank George Padgett for removing four bushes at the Woodington entrance – this was in response to a request made by the board. A quote of $1499.00 was approved for completion of phase one towards an irrigation system at the entrance. A new sign for “No Solicitation” is needed and Kristin Decker will check on this.
- In response to one request, it was decided not to include ads in our Woodington newsletter.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Horizon Church on Butler Street has agreed to provide space for the WHOA annual meeting on January 11, 2010, Monday, 6:30 p.m.
2. Kristine asked about the Christmas wreaths so that they can be put up in time for the season.
Next meeting: January 5, 2010, Tuesday, 7:00 p.m., at the home of Kristine Lynch, 5 Claire Lane. Purpose: To plan WHOA annual meeting.
