Woodland Heights HOA Changes Effictive 12-15-2009

The Association has basically run out of funds.  To address this crisis, the Board has elected to take the following action.  Effective immediately, we have voted to terminate our contract with Sentry Management.  In our evaluation of the best way to return value to the homeowners, their fee could no longer be supported by our budget.  Any correspondence regarding your home or the association should be either e-mailed to this address or mailed to the physical address at the end of this e-mail.  This change will result in a substantial cost savings to the neighborhood, but it does come at a cost.  The Board has made a commitment to do whatever it takes from a time commitment over the next 12 months to right the financial situation in the neighborhood, so I ask that you please be patient with us during this time.  Lastly, and I'm sure most near and dear to everyone, we will be issuing the dues invoices within the next week (Christmas!  I get it.)  The Board has already paid their dues to help pay the bills for the next month or so, but we will need to have a due date of January 31st for these invoices.  We are not going to raise the dues, we just need to move the due date forward two months to get everything back up to speed.  We believe that these two decisions will help in the near-term (next 12 - 18 months), but they won't address our greater issue which is the growing accounts receivable balance.  We are currently discussing this issue with two attorneys and will likely be making a decision on how to proceed once we have the funds to move forward.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  I would be happy to discuss any questions/concerns with each of you on a personal level if that would work better for you.  I hope this message finds you well, and we'll be in touch soon.
