Zonta provides funding and hands-on service to non-profit agencies in Key West and the Lower Keys.
Agencies which have received assistance in the past include: Art Behind Bars, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, Domestic Abuse Shelter, Easter Seals, Fla. Keys Outreach Coalition, Habitat for Humanity, Helpline, KW Art & Historical Society, MARC, Mel Fisher Museum, PACE, RHN Lifelines Medivan, Samuel's House, Wesley House & YMCA.
Through money raised by the annual ABC 5K Walk/Run, held the first Saturday of every November, Zonta funds mammograms for uninsured and underinsured women.
Zonta has a variety of scholarship programs.
Graduating high school girls may qualify for the Young Women in Public Affairs or Outstanding Service scholarships.
Mature women re-entering the workforce due to widowhood or divorce may qualify through FKCC for the Mature Woman Scholarship.
Zonta International has scholarships for women seeking advanced degrees in areonautical sciences and scholarships for business women seeking further education.
A variety of local scholarships for programs of other non-profit agencies are funded by the Key West Club.
