I was born at Portsmouth in England; during WWII we moved to Birmingham where I attended Anglican school. Later, I graduated from Offley Teacher College in Hertfordshire. Then, I finished my advanced degree at PSU in Portland, Oregon. I have dual United Kingdom and United States citizenship. I teach a variety of interdisciplinary topics at Marylhurst University with a focus on environmental sustainability and animal welfare. Previously while still married, I was proprietor of a small organic dairy farm in Washington state. I have two married sons, three grandsons, and one granddaughter. I am a faculty member of the Marylhurst University Sustainability Advisory Council and am interested in joining the Land Use Planning Committee with SMILE.
