Alexander is our American shorthair kitty, a striped tabby. We found him at the Muscatatuck Wildlife Refuge in 1996. He was just a 3-month-old kitten hanging onto a tree trunk for dear life and mewing pitifully. Sheldon walked up to the tree and said ''Here, kitty kitty.'' He backed right down and followed us back to our car and we haven't been able to get rid of him since! He's such a sweet, playful cat and we're so grateful to the Lord for leading us to him.
Sheldon loves to fish and I love to garden. I'll admit--I get to garden a whole lot more than he gets to fish. I have lots of perennials and self-seeding annuals, both native and non-native. We have lots of birds and insects and even a rabbit, a snake, and at least one 5 lined skink!
We are hoping to actually get out in our kayak this summer and enjoy the water so Sheldon can do some fishing.
