The fireworks were nice. I enjoyed seeing them in the neighborhood.

Of course you don'thave answers for his questions because there is no acceptable answer to his questions. You either uphold or obey all of the laws or leave yourself open to wide open lawlessness. The same reason there must be laws to protect most of us from those who do not abide by law is based on the same logic as the law that prevents me from hitting you in the mouth.
As far as the seatbelt law if it was just an issue of you hurting only yourself, I would tend to agree with you. But, an emergency vehicle would have to come pick up your pieces after you went through the windshield or you splattered yourself all over my shiny black suv. In other words, your decision would affect / effect other people. No accidents affect or involve only one person.
And back to the real issue here of the dangers of the Class C fireworks, you just might be surprised at the number of people that do not agree with your inane comment about how many people would defy the law on the 4th of July or any other day for that matter. And you just might want to give this some serious thought. If you violate the law and set off fireworks within 200 feet of me, my cat, my husband, my house, or my neighbor and cause injury, damage, strife, or distress, you may as well find yourself a lawyer because I will drag your butt into civil court seeking both punitive and compensatory damages even if there are not enough police to cite everyone.
