I attended a very informative meeting tonight at Hurstbourne Christian Church about neighborhood watch. My compliments to the officer from Louisville Metro Police Department, Office Roger Pickett! And my compliments to the many residents of Moorgate that showed up! Way to go guys! It was also good to see Commmissioners Blain, Wright, and Wellman there.
Now to the point of this post, I saw three other familes represented from the Bellemeade part. So, out of approximately 40 to 50 people who attended, only 6 or 7 (maybe 8 or 9) were not from Moorgate. What a shame! Are we going to have a Moorgate Neighborhood Watch or a Bellemeade Neighborhood Watch? We ALL need to work together.
And thanks to Mayor Odom-Groh and Mr. Miller for trying to breathe life back into the program and to Mr.Trimble (hope I got his name right) for quickily stepping up to be the Neighborhood Captain. If I got it right, he is a new resident in the Bellemeade part; maybe that will get them off thier butts.
