City of Bellemeade

Mesage to Bellemeade part of Bellemeade, et al

Posted in: Bellemeade - Bellemeade

12?!?  You must have counted some of them twice.  I was totally surprised at the number of people who introduced themselves; very nice group of people.  And, laryl, you didn't come talk to me.  I thought the host always at least spoke to the quests.

I got my block captain's name, email,  and phone number so I can participate.  I was going to volunteer until I found out my block was covered.

Sorry I missed speaking to you. I did try to speak to people before and after the meeting. You must have left before I found you.

The number 12 came from people who signed in and listed Bellemeade addresses.

We had some people who did not sign in

I stand corrected on my miscalculation.  Again, I am glad to say that was a nice turn out, but I was sadly disappointed that the Bellemeade section was not better represented.

I was one of the first five people there Larry.  You looked right at me three times.  I was surprised you didn't speak, nod your head, or ask me why the hell I was there.  I even made a name tag with a MEOW coming out of cat whiskers on it.

At any rate, it was a good meeting for the most part.  I was thoroughly impressed with Officer Pickett.  I was impressed with the interest shown by the people that were there.  Now based on what Officer Pickett said, I expect that the next step is for each block captain to work out a plan with us?  It would be so much fun to have a Block Watch cookout in each block on the same day.  I can see it now with all of the smoke coming off the grills telling the criminals, "we will smoke you if you mess around here."

And oh, I was really disappointed  Cry Reba was not there.  I am sure she could have added to the meeting (somehow).

Perhaps you could organize your neighbors and make this happen? I walked the entire Bellemeade (including Mooregate) neighborhood with my wife and dropped the block watch meeting notice in every mailbox or doorway. Any help you can provide to make it happen would be appreciated.

This is a great idea that needs to happen!
