To the Author

I disagree with you because i realize that the town has not dealt
with Quirk in a fair manner.It was very capricious and unwarrented for the town not to issue that permit. I also realize it was very self serving to just a few individuals and defenetely
not in the best interest of the town itself. I suspect that part of it is that some people are mad that Quirk picked up the ship yard at a very cheap price and now want a pice of the action.

Quirk's Fault

If the town acted capriciously, then on appeal Quirk would have won.
But just because Braintree may have dealt unfairly with Quirk, doesn't give Quirk the green go ahead light to create a hazardous workplace and put innocent people in harms way.

To use a cliche...
2 wrongs don't make it right.

Quirk's business plans have to be put on hold while he clears up the permitting process regardless how long it takes.

Use my previous analogy.
Suppose it was your home.
You would be held responsible for creating a dangerous public hazard.

maybe you should listen to that message just once. The poster is right. 2 Wrongs don't make a right here...and now because of the big mouths of some of our town officials, Braintree is going to be sued. While Quirk is at fault. He obviously failed to explain that the building was condemned. I am suprised at some of the officials mouthing off before an investigation here. There goes another vote, chuckie.
