Beginning in mid-September, CIS will offer an after-school program to low-performing students. Selected students will be bussed from their elementary schools to the CIS afterschool site Monday through Thursday. Residents from Ardmore Village will teach students the lost arts of quilting, crocheting, gardening, preserving foods, and simply carpentry. Items made by the students will be sold in a student-ran store. Profits from the store will be used to fund field trips for students who have performed well at their home schools.
For a student application, contact the CIS Office at (580) 223-8762.
