During the past year, our Neighborhood Watches members have been instrumental in reducing crime in many instances in our community.
In one instance where some drug activity was involved, the area was reported to Allen police for an extra patrol deterring these people from using the area in Fox Hollow.
In another instance, vandalism was reported and stopped in a vacant house by another Neighborhood Watch member. Again in another major incident, a Watch member brought the pursuit by Allen Police of suspects related to drug involvement to a quick conclusion by reporting unknown men beside her home late at night.
We have a great deal of work to do in including all our community in the Fox Hollow Neighborhood Watch. Success of a neighborhood watch is based on the nature of people to care about the well being of people that they have met.
Once we know a neighbor, a family, or a child, research has shown that people simply care more to take an interest in what is happening with our acquaintances.
