''We fight, get beat, rise and fight again.'' - Major General Nathaniel Greene, Continental Army, American Revolutionary War
The Friends of Historic Glasgow is an organization of concerned citizens devoted to the cause of preserving the Glasgow, Delaware area's dwindling natural and historic resources.
Glasgow is historically significant as the staging ground for Delaware's only Revolutionary War battle, which occurred at nearby Cooch's Bridge. The area contains several unique properties that reflect the rich history of not only Glasgow, but of New Castle County and the State of Delaware.
