The Hillier Heights Neighborhood Association is a grass roots non-profit organization that was established in 2000 as a result of the escalation of criminal activity in our neighborhood and increased concerns of the residents regarding the infiltration of gang members, visibility of drug trafficking, private property crimes, vehicle thefts, aggravated assaults, robberies, violent crimes and burglaries.
The overall purpose of this program is to improve the quality of life in the community by facilitating communication and interaction between residents and to secure resolutions to the escalating crime problem.
The program’s services will be provided at the monthly meeting place, by telephone, and new media. Statistics reveal that overall crime has risen 49% since 1998 in grid ch30 which has the exact boundaries as the HHNA; Dunlap, North to Mountain View, and 12th Street East to 16th Street.
