noise ordinance
Gee, I hardly ever hear any noise at my house. Of course, the next door neighbor's dogs bark when they are out and I come home, but that's what dogs are supposed to do. I just tell them hello. When I am out walking with my dogs, other neighborhood dogs bark at us, sometimes crazily. That is also what dogs do.
Is this about certain dogs who bark incessantly? Are they ''outside'' dogs? I think that dogs who are kept outside all the time (which I do not approve of) bark more (due to boredom, loneliness, being ''watchdogs'', etc.) If so, I really don't think a noise ordinance is going to fix it.
Unfortunately, some people believe that dogs belong outside, and they will not bring them in the house.
The question is...what good would a noise ordinance do anyway? The dog doesn't know (or care) that there is a noise ordinance. There simply is no way that I know of to keep a dog from barking when it sees something walking down the street near its house.
As for noisy music, cars, etc., I've never heard anything in the 6 years I've lived here.
Maybe the other writers live on busier streets, though.
