Since 1984 The Lennie Marie Tolliver Center has provided therapeutic health
programs for persons with chronic physical and mental impairments. Adult Day
Health Services are designed to benefit both participants and caregivers. The
participant benefits from involvement in organized activities and social
interaction with others. The caregiver receives the benefit of knowing that their loved one is properly cared for while they carry out their daily functions.
There is a planned daily program, individual care plans, nursing assessment,
health monitoring, arts, crafts, exercise, music and other educational activities.
The Tolliver Center is committed to providing the highest quality adult day care for frail elderly and handicapped adults to maximize self sufficiency, dignity, and hope through cooperation with caregivers and health and human Services providers. Tolliver's goal is to help caregivers maintain as high a quality of life for their loved ones as possible by allowing them to be as independent as possible
while giving caregivers respite to live a normal, healthy life. Personnel at Tolliver consist of a director, registered nurse and/or licensed practical nurse, social services coordinator, and certified nurses aides. Physical, occupational and speech therapy are available on a contract basis.
Community volunteers provide activities that include music and art therapy just to name a few. Participants are treated to outside outings
monthly.
