Speaking of the pool, is there a good time to use it to actually swim for exercise?  I noticed they have lanes, do they ever block them off for swimming?  I tried to swim one evening, but 3 kids pretty much dominated the whole pool, and I didn't really feel entitled enough to ask them to stay on one side.  I don't have any kids so I don't really get any other use out of it.  Just wondering if there is a time slot for adults to use the pool.

There has not been an adult swim time set as of now.  I beleive that the guards know most of the neighborhood children and would not mind asking the children to clear a lane or two for you.  I am sure the children would not mind either.

I have 4 kids myself and would not mind at all having them move out of the way for someone to swim laps, as a matter of fact I would love it.  I wish there was a "lap-time" for swimmers of any age to practice there strokes, or just exercise.  My kids have recently joined a swim team, the dolphins in Bullit County (since the developers refused to let the team use our facilities here, which might actually have benefited some of our children and induced them into doing something productive and healthy....but I digress) and it would be nice if there was a time set aside for "lap swim" for everyone and not just adults.  Heck, it might motivate me do get up and do something active myself :)  If you ever see me there and my kids are in the way, just ask and I would be more than happy to move them for you.

I like to see LSF have a swim team for the children.  My grandchildren are pretty decent swimmers and I think the competition would be healthy for all the children.  I looked into it a while back but couldn't find much information on how to form a team.  I contacted a couple of the local teams but never received any responses.
