I am sorry, ammunition was probably a poor choice of words.   Maybe, I should of used, to see what the developers and residents think of the proposal.  On the adult swim time, many pools have a fifteen minute break on the hour for children to rest and adults to swim.  I don't know how the residents feel about this, but it might work.  Just a suggestion as was the swim team proposal.

I don't agree with allowing outside organizations to use the subdivision's pool.  The pool is provided for the residents of LSF and their guests following the regs in the by-laws. I enjoy the fact that it isn't crowded and hope that it could stay that way, however, as the rest of the land is developed there will be more and more residents using it and unlimited guests would add to the crowd.  Maybe an addition to the bylaws could be each year providing each household a set number of guest passes.  I do, however, think that intramural type swim teams involving the kids and adults of LSF residents may be something that could one day be offered.  Other developments that do this first of all offer swim lessons for any interested resident, then set the swim teams for a specified number of days with meets on a day the pool typically is closed; and, practices are done before and after pool hours.  To help provide more practice time one development I know has the pool open one hour late to facilitate kid practices and one hour early for adult practices.  My friends have said these intramural meets have helped develop a lot of intra-neighborhood friendships with each year team assignments being done randomly by age groups.  The finals begin with a subdivision parade of all the teams like the Olympics!

There isn't any plan to allow any outside swim teams to use our facilities.  It was only proposed by a resident and it was not approved.   We are trying to see what interest there is in having a Little Spring Farm Swim Team, for Little Spring Farm children only. I spoke with Jonas, the pool manager, and he said he would be happy to start a team next April. He already manages other swim teams and is also the coach for Mercy & Assumption's Swim Teams.  He also covers any liability insurance that is required by law.   As you describe in your above post, swimming practices would be held before or after normal pool hours and any meets that our Swim Club would sponsor, if any, would be held on Mondays, when our pool in closed.  I believe this would be a good thing for our families especially the children.  Many neighborhood pools have swim teams.  The few meets that I have been, have always been well supervised and the children were polite and respectful of the facilities.  I hope we can make it happen.
