Thanks for the replies.  I think a swim team would be a good idea, too.  I know some of the country clubs have their own teams.  Maybe as the neighborhood grows there will be more demand for it.

Just to make everyone aware, the Bullit County Dolphins inquired about basing the team out of here this year and were shot down.  They were in need of a pool to have their team, as they lost theirs over it not meeting some new requirements (had to do with a little girl here in KY getting caught in a drain and dying that these arose from), and the "HOA/developers" told them "NO!".  I was suprised I had not heard anything about this, but I guess that's what happens when the residents do not have any "real" say in things anyway.

If you have the "pull" to make this kind of thing happen Alan, it would be great for all parties considered since they compete against teams with 100-200+ kids and their team only has 52 total.  We lack children in the younger age groups, like they cannot even field a under 6 yr or under 8 yr old relay team, and we have MANY kids here in LSF that could EASILY add to their numbers and create an even playing field.  Just my thoughts and hopes though.

I guess we need to know how many children in LSF are interested in joining the team. Then we would have some ammunition to use on the develepers.   Residents, if you have a child that would be interested in joining the team, please send me email with their gender and age.

Cra97, we probably need to get together so I can get more info i.e. times of practices & meets, numbers at the pool, etc.   I am sure the developers are looking at the liability issue and residents concerns with over crowding, etc.

Thanks

I am not sure "ammunition" to use on the developers is what is needed here.  I am a dues paying resident and I would be curious to know when this swim club would meet and would it cause additional costs for increased usage?  Lke some of the posts in this topic I too am very interested in an adult swim time.
