GRANITE and PLANTS - 3 entrances

Granite and plants

I think it is a great idea to have granite and plants. It won't grow over the sidewalk and look trashy. It is easier to maintain and will match the upgrades at Alma School and Guadalupe.

This neighborhool needs a face lift and this is a good way to go along with the painting and the new sign.

Grass that is overgrown and never trimmed is amoung the worse sites to be seen in any neighborhood. We are trying to promote our area as a nice place to live, might be better if we pulled the grass out and made the whole darn strip just one way. Will definatly make that patricular area prettier, as far as I am concerned. If it's cheaper to maintain, all the better.

Granite and Light

I'm all for changing the landscape to granite to match the other landscaping. More importantly though is the traffic light at Pampa and Alma School. It can be very dangerous taking a left turn there.

Going for the Granite !!

I must agree that the granite and plants would make a tremendous difference to the entrances to our area. Besides the obvious of less water cost, no more unslightly grass/weeds never being trimmed, and the water stains on the walls, we could also consider that we are gaining more "pride of ownership" in our area.

As more and more homes become rental property, you can see the difference in the upkeep. Not that I have a problem with renters, but I would love to see the owners of the rental properties come back and see the improvements in the neighborhood, and make some of those to thier rentals.

I am an original owner here, and am proud of my home, and have put mega dollars in it's upkeep, new roof, paint, new landscaping, etc. I would love for my home to retain it's value (and hopefully increase in comming years) and any improvement made to Marlborough helps me, and everyone one of us.

I would also hope that we can get more donations so that our sign(s) will be up and on the walls SOON.

Just a quick thank you to Alma Jones for all of her hard work, and for the mention in the volunteers section. I will be happy to help again!
