WINNING A NATIONAL AWARD. On Thursday, August 10th, the District received a national "Best Practices" Award from HUD for citizen involvement and community development. The award recognized the Mayor's Neighborhood Action Initiative and how it gave rise to our priority "building and sustaining healthy neighborhoods." The District is one of 100 national winners-programs selected from thousands of entries across the country.
