looking like a plant to me

You are looking looking like the person in the audience who has been written into the script at council meetings, the launching pad, so to speak to the council members can ''respond to the people'' in a proactive way. I think Mrs. W has something to to with this script.
And hence the reason...

... why I was hesitant to post a my questions in the first place. I have to tell you I'm surprised it took so long before someone labeled me. As soon as anyone tries to take a neutral stance and tries to get an honest, open and COMPLETE dialog going they are branded a cronie, plant, stoolie, etc.

I can assure you that you I am not on city councils side nor necessarily on the side of PATA. I think there are problems, historical and current, that exist with the city AND with the township AND most likely with the school system. I don't think open dialog should be avoided but if you want to strictly take issue with the city or township or school and not look at all the issues then yes I will call you out.

I'm meeting with the Mayor and Mr. Parker this evening and I have the 7 pages of documentation that was posted regarding my inquiry, not the hearsay regarding his relationship with developers or future job prospects, but everything else.

I attended a city council meeting a couple of months back and stated my concerns with the city and growth related issues. This resulted in Mr. Wright and Shaver getting into an argument for the next 10 minutes and also resulted in Mr. Parker giving me his card and asking me to call him so we could discuss what I had to say. That is how this started and how I am where I am. I've also traded phone calls and emails with Ted Hackworth and plan on meeting with Bob Harding in the near future so save me the 'plant' accusations.

Mr/Ms Anonymous have you called and tried to meet with anyone from the city or do you just prefer to sit back and complain and think that is going to accomplish something?

I avoided the Anonymous moniker because I have nothing to hide and to be taken seriously I believe it is necessary to be open.

Good For You!

You GO Brian. Stick to your guns. You are a welcome breath of fresh air here. You stimulated the most powerful postings to date in these discussions. Don't let one bad apple run you off. I'll bet that the 'plant' is anonymous poster. I'll bet the city stooges have someone come in here and disrupt things every time they can.

Hang in there and keep the good words coming.

solve the puzzle

It is a shame that you are reluctant to ask the tough questions. Unless you ask the questions about the relationships of these parties to the developers who cannot solve the puzzle of why they are behaving so illogically. By the way, it is not a rumor that the Mayor lives in a house owned by one of Mr. Berry's corporations nor is it a rumor that he co-owns several expensive motorcycles with him. It certainly is not a rumor that the Monnebrake family is going to profit tremendously off of development. At lest, however, they are not acting surreptiously. Nor is it a rumor that former Mayor Lee Grey worked for Homewood after leaving office. You might ask why Lee Grey funnelled Republican Club money to Randy Hughes, a democrat , in the last election. You might also check out the list of contributors to each of the campaigns and figure out who recieved monies form developers and firms doing business withthe City.
