Improvements
I'm just happy that some improvements are finally being made, and that the landscapers are doing their job. I think the palm trees are a nice touch. Still waiting on the solar lighting at the entrances though. What happened with that?

Improvements
Don't misunderstand, I am happy to see that something is happening, I am just confused as to why they were chosen.
I don't know what happened to the issue of solar lighting. I know at one meeting it was discussed but the board was quick to say no it would just get vandalized.
Maybe someone on the board should check out:

Until we get adequate lighting throughout the community we will continue to have a vandalism problem. Our dark streets, entrances, and parks are an open invitation for criminal activity.

Vandalism
As is people not wanting to get involved with Block Watch or caring about anyone but themselves. I am all for lighting but many people are not. I think more could be done with people just watching out for their neighbors, getting to know their street, and paying attention, and not having the me me me attitude.
And unfortunately the board probably is right, the street lights that are already up are vandalized on a regular basis, children run free in the streets at all hours, why waste money on something that is going to not only be broken all of the time but then have to pay to repair it too?

Lights
Any light would be nice at the entrances. As far as vandalism the board is using that as an cop out not to do anything (to think safety is not important enough). How about the communities on the righ side as you go down octillo toward ironwood they have a lighted entrance with no vandalism. The cost of the palm trees was probably cheaper than running power for the lights since they can get power from any nearby light pole. Once again the HOA failed us.
