WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives pushed undecided members for support and voiced growing confidence on Friday they will win a close vote on final passage of a sweeping healthcare overhaul.

The House will vote on Sunday afternoon on President Barack Obama's top domestic legislative priority, which has picked up momentum with backing from former opponents and a good report card from congressional budget analysts.

"I feel very sure that we will vote sometime after 2 o'clock on Sunday and the bill will pass," Democratic Representative James Clyburn, the top House vote-counter, told reporters.

Top House Democrats pushed hard to nail down the last of the 216 votes needed to approve the overhaul, which would constitute the biggest changes in the $2.5 trillion U.S. healthcare system in the past four decades.

History in the making?

Much as the rise of Hitler, the Russian communist revolution, and other abominations visited on our world were "history in the making".

I can only speak for myself, but I will not forget nor forgive those who screwed us over and saddled my children and grandchildren with this power grab, destruction of our quality health care, and the future tax bills that will be needed to pay for it.   I will do all in my power to defeat them.  I'm sure that the majority of voting U.S. citizens feel the same way I do.

    The consequences of this bill, if instituted, will  be horrendous.  Not for those who want to control the masses, but for the citizens of this country.

There's the silver lining, Hiroad.  The next elections will purge the congress of liberals.
