Spring Garden

Spring Garden is a small neighborhood situated on the Miami River and located near the Civic Center complex just north of downtown Miami. Ideally situated near expressways and public transportation, it is home to an eclectic collection of civic-minded residents. In 1997 Spring Garden became a City of Miami Historic Neighborhood because of its age (started 1919) and its rich history.

Spring Garden Civic Association

The Spring Garden Civic Association became an active force in the community when it opposed the contruction of a transit line extension which would have destroyed the neighborhood. Currently consisting of over 100 members, it still actively campaigns to maintain the neighborhood's character.
