Organization Mission

The Salvation Army, founded in London England in 1865, is a worldwide religious charitable organization dedicated to helping the disadvantaged reach economic self-sufficiency, while providing for basic human needs. The Salvation Army organized in Detroit in 1887 and today services thousands of people annually in sixteen church community centers and a multitude of programs such as substance abuse treatment, emergency shelters, transitional housing, food for the hungry and summer day camps. These church community centers are called Corps and they al offer worship services and recreation activities.

Social Service Programs

-Community Dinner : Monday, Wednesday & Fridays 4:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.
This dinner is open to everyone in the community

-Emergency Food Pantry

-Seasonal help with utility bills when funding allows


-Assistance for fire victims when funding allows
(with a fire report)

YOUTH PROGRAMMING

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
3:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

After School Programming
Activities for this program includes: homework help, gym, game room, dinner, & devotions

We have a Certifited teacher advailable to work with your Child two day a week.

This programming is for children and youth in 1st - 12th grade (please bring a report card when signing up your child.)

This is a low cost program.
$30.00 per child for the whole school year or $5.00 a month per child.

Friday
Teen Night for youth in the 6th -12 grade
Study time for youth in the 1st-6 grade.

Tuesday

4:00 p.m. -6:30 p.m. Christian Education Night
Scouting programs
Girls :
Sunbeams 1st - 5th grade;
Girl Guards 6th - 12th grade
Boys:
Explorers 1st - 4th grade; Rangers 5th -12th grade

Please note all children need to be registered for programing.
