CRIME REPORT; 02-07-11

 

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered over the weekend…

 

At about 9:30 P.M. last night, Officer Merrick contacted a 51 year old male in the 1700 block of Butternut on a Public Intoxication call.  Upon contacting this subject, it was found that he was extremely intoxicated and was a danger to himself and others.  He was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication.  While he was in the back seat of the patrol car, he kicked the rear window causing damage.  During this altercation, he was sprayed with O.C.  He then spit on the officer.  He was transported to the Taylor County Jail and was charged with Public Intoxication, Criminal Mischief and a 3rd Degree Felony Harassment of a Public Servant.

 

At about 12:05 A.M. this morning, Officer Hutchinson stopped a vehicle in the 1100 block of Ambler for failing to maintain a single lane of traffic.  Upon contacting the driver, a 23 year old male, it was found that he was intoxicated.  He performed the field sobriety tests and failed.  He also provided a breath sample that was over the legal limit.  He was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

Finally at about 1:05 A.M. this morning, Officer Valdez responded to a disturbance in the 2500 block of North Willis.  Upon arrival he observed a vehicle leaving without headlights that matched the description of involved parties.  He initiated his emergency lights and stopped the vehicle.  The driver, a 27 year old male, exited the vehicle and fled on foot, leaving his four children alone in the vehicle.  After a short chase, he was captured.  The driver was also intoxicated.  He did perform the field sobriety tests and failed.  It was also found that he had local warrants for his arrest.  He was arrested and charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated due to the child passengers, Evading Detention and two local warrants.

CRIME REPORT; 02-08-11

 

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 4:47 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of Nelson for traveling 51 mph in a 35mph zone.  Upon contacting the driver, a 28 year old male, it was found that he was intoxicated.  He was asked to perform the field sobriety tests and refused.  He told the officer to just arrest him and he was arrested.  An open container of an alcoholic beverage was located inside the vehicle.  The driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While License Invalid.

 

Finally at about 11:30 P.M. last night, Officers Hutchinson and Allen responded to a noise violation call at a north side motel.  The reporting party stated there was excessive noise and the smell of marijuana coming from this room.  Upon arrival the officers could hear children’s voices coming from the room.  They could also smell burning marijuana coming from the room.  The officer looked through a window and observed a small amount of marijuana and the small kids in the room.  They knocked on the door and a female finally answered.  When she answered the door, the children and the marijuana were no longer in view.  Officers began clearing the motel room for their safety and the welfare of the children.  While doing this a useable amount of marijuana was located in plain view.  A 22 year old male had rented the room and gave written consent for the officers to search the room.  During this search a large amount of marijuana was located.  There were four adult subjects in the room who were arrested for Felony Possession of Marijuana.  The 22 year old male who rented the room, a 20 year old male, a 21 year old female and another 21 year old female.  There were also two 3 year old children in the room.

Crime Report; 2/09/2011

 

 

Good Morning! Here is your police report for Wednesday 2/09/2011…

 

At about 5:00 yesterday afternoon, agents of the Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of Chestnut St. A 53 year old female was found to be in possession of a quantity of Alprazolam. This woman was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

 

At about 5:45 yesterday afternoon, Officer Scott went to a residence in the 1400 block of N. Willis to serve warrants on a man that is known to live at this address. Officer Scott contacted this 41 year old man and took him into custody on warrants charging Retaliation, and Probation Violation.    

 

At about 8:00 last night Officer Volirakis was dispatched to a call of a possible intoxicated person in the100 block of S. Leggett at the convenience store there. The officer contacted a 62 year old male at the location and learned that the man’s car had run out of gas and the man was attempting to get some more fuel. The man was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for Public Intoxication.

CRIME REPORT; 02-11-11

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 7:20 P.M. last night, Officer Hambright stopped a vehicle in the 4000 block of Redbud.  After contacting the driver, a 25 year old male, it was found that he had a warrant for his arrest for Assault Family Violence.  It was also found that he did not have a driver’s license.  He was arrested and charged with the warrant and driving without a driver’s license.

 

At about 11:40 P.M. last night, Officer Ward responded to an intoxicated subject call in the 700 block of Amarillo.  The calling party reported that an intoxicated female was banging on their door and yelling “Let me in. I want to go home.”  Upon arrival the female was gone, so officers began to search the area.  A short time later another citizen called to report that she was now at his residence.  A 19 year old female was located and found to be intoxicated.  She was placed under arrest and charged with Public Intoxication.

 

Finally at about 1:30 A.M. this morning, Officer Garrett stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of Ambler for running a red light.  After contacting the driver, a 37 year old female, it was found that her driver’s license was suspended.  She was placed under arrest and charged with Driving While License Invalid.
