CRIME REPORT; 05-02-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered over the weekend…

 

At about 10:00 P.M. last night, Officer Poynor responded to a call of a possible drunk driver.  The vehicle was located in the 3300 block of HWY 277 and was stopped for failure to maintain a single lane, as it was swerving all over the road.  The driver, a 47 year old male stated he was traveling from San Antonio and had taken some prescription medication.  The medication was located and gave a warning that it may cause drowsiness.  The driver did perform the field sobriety tests and failed.  Due to the fact that the driver did not appear to be intoxicated on alcohol, a blood test was performed for the medication.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

 

At about 11:15 P.M. last night, Officer Shriver stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 600 block of South 1st.  A K-9 was called to the traffic stop to assist and alerted on the vehicle.  During a search of the driver, a 56 year old male, he was found to be in possession of cocaine.  He was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

 

Finally at about 3:50 A.M. this morning, Officer Hartness responded to a call of an intoxicated subject in the 4100 block of Buffalo Gap Road.  Upon arrival, a 23 year old male was contacted outside his vehicle.  He was found to be extremely intoxicated and was planning to drive away.  He was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

CRIME REPORT; 05-03-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

At about 4:15 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Woods responded to a call of a theft and located the involved vehicle in the 6500 block of West Lake Road.  A 44 year old female and a 36 year old male were contacted in the vehicle and admitted to taking several items from this location.  They were both arrested and charged with Theft, some of the items taken included copper wiring so the charge was enhanced to a Felony.

 

At about 9:24 P.M. last night, Officer Becker stopped a vehicle in the 2800 block of South 41st for failing to yield right of way.  The driver, a 34 year old male, appeared to be intoxicated.  He did perform the field sobriety tests and failed.  He also provided a breath sample that was over the legal limit.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

 

Finally at about 2:40 A.M. this morning, Officer Villarreal responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle and subjects in the 900 block of South Clack.  Upon arrival three subjects were contacted.  All three subjects were extremely intoxicated and had been setting in the parking lot drinking.  There was no one sober to take custody of these individuals.  A 27 year old male and two 31 year old males were arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

CRIME REPORT; 05-04-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

At about 2:40 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Janusz responded to a burglary in progress call.  A homeowner was calling reporting that he came home and found a subject in his residence.  The subject left and the homeowner was following him.  Officer Janusz located a 49 year old male in the 3200 block of Roberts.  The homeowner identified this male as the subject who was in his residence.  The male subject was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation.

 

At about 10:20 P.M. last night, Officer Villarreal stopped a vehicle in the 3300 block of South 1st for driving without headlights.  While contacting the occupants, the officer could smell the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  During a search of the occupants the front passenger, a 20 year old male, was found to be in possession of a useable amount of marijuana.  He was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

 

Finally at about 12:45 A.M. this morning, Officer Ruiz stopped a vehicle in the 3700 block of South Danville for failing to maintain a single lane.  Upon contacting the driver, a 24 year old male, he appeared to be intoxicated.  He did perform the field sobriety tests and failed.  He also provided a breath sample that was over the legal limit.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

CRIME REPORT; 05-05-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

At about 2:15 A.M. yesterday morning, Officer Allen stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Ambler for failing to dim headlights.  Upon contacting the occupants the officer could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  During a search of the vehicle and occupants the driver, a 23 year old male, was found to be in possession of a marijuana pipe and methamphetamine.  The passenger, a 24 year old male, was also found to be in possession of a marijuana pipe and methamphetamine.  Both subjects were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 

At about 9:30 P.M. last night, Officer Martinez stopped a vehicle in the 1700 block of North Mockingbird for disobeying a stop sign.  Upon contacting the driver, a 25 year old male, it was found that his driver’s license was suspended.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While License Invalid.

 

Finally at about 9:45 P.M. last night, Officer Villarreal contacted a 34 year old male who was the driver a vehicle that had disobeyed a red light.  Upon speaking with this subject it appeared that he was intoxicated.  He did perform the field sobriety tests and failed.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
