*******We will be going through some changes and re-structuring here at APD at the end of this month.  I will be promoting to Lt. and a new person will be taking over the crime report in the mornings.  With this being said, we need to know who uses the audio portion of this report.  If it is not being used, we don’t want to “waste” time continuing to do it; however, if it is being used it is definitely not a “waste” of time.  Please reply back to me if you use the audio portion of this message for any reason (craig.jordan@abilenetx.com).  Thanks for your time and continued support of your police department!

Finally at about 9:20 P.M. last night, Officer Hutchinson responded to a call of a disturbance in the 2200 block of Bel Air.  Upon arrival it was learned that a husband and wife were both intoxicated and arguing, causing a disturbance.  The husband was willing to leave the residence and called a friend to come and get him.  The wife, a 32 year old female, became extremely upset that her husband was not going to jail and began yelling and using profane language while outside.  She was warned several times and finally went inside the residence.  The officer stayed in the area to make sure she was not going to cause another disturbance and a short time later she came back outside.  She began yelling and using profane language again.  The officer began to approach her and noticed that she had a steak knife and was using it to cause damage to a semi-truck.  After being given a verbal order she dropped the knife and was taken into custody.  She was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Felony Criminal Mischief as she caused approximately $7,000.00 in damage to the truck.
