The X-100s tract was built in 1953 on land that was once marsh. Palo Verde used to be a dirt road that was elevated quite a few feet above what are now our streets and yards and homes.
We are bordered by Palo Verde on the west, Stearns on the north, the 405 freeway on the NE corner, Atherton on the south and the flood channel on the east.
In 1953, one of these houses with the fancy 3-sided fireplace in the middle of the room could be bought for a song. If I recall correctly, orginial owner Dorothy Hill told me it was less than $15,000.
To any of our original owners who are adept at a keyboard, maybe you'd be willing to share some recollections the tract when it was brand-spankin' new?
