Kitty Kat you say you are not baiting the mayor but today proves that you are. You wrote  (actually job requirements can not be determined in executive session) in response to what the mayor wrote “One of the few things an executive session can be used for is to discuss confidential employee relations and job requirements”

He said discus and in this a different post you refer back to him as though he said determine that is two very different things.

I do agree about the Beautification thing and I remember being at the commission meeting three years ago where Mr. Odom-Groh spoke out against the ordinance for some of the same reasons. That commission under former mayor Dick P passed it but without the big fines.

Now, you are attempting to bait me;  I said "determine;"  I did NOT say he said, "determine."  If you read it as an inference/implication, that is your problem.

Ah ha!  "Mr. Odom-Groh spoke out against spending public money to improve private property THREE YEARS AGO?   And now, THREE YEARS LATER, we are still neglecting safety because we have no money, BUT we are still spending money to plant trees on private property.  And you say you agree with those who say that is wrong and you sit silently and let it happen, BUT you criticize me and others because we openly speak challenge the mayor and commission for doing that.  Something does not compute.

My doing something about it would mean taking off from work and going to meetings. I did that three years ago and they still passed it. You don't like it? Its your turn to do something.

"and they still passed it."   So, are you saying that they do what they chose to do regardless of what citizens like you, many others, and I think they should do?  Doesn't sound much like we matter at all does it.  By the way, what's your take on the 4Way Stop?
