Wow 50 to 75 k per well ?  I am guessing that would not be enough for all common areas.  I know my wifes ex-husband owned land where Johnson Ranch is now located and he had a well drilled.  It cost him 2k to drill 200 feet, $100.00 per foot.  Now granted this was about 8 years ago. The people that are giving you an estimate are using current water tables ?  Do they know this is only for irrigation and will not be used for drinking water ?

Sorry it was not 2k it was 20k.  But it was $100.00 a foot I remember. They had to go down 200 feet.

The info is based on our water table. The well will need to be about 500 feet deep.  And this estimate is for the grass area on schnepf...17 acres.  And they know its only for irrigation.  Because of the size, they recommend a retention as well, either a water tank or pond.  The pond would be cheeper, that is what the estimate includes.  So, for the drilling, casing, pump and pond, and runing electricity...50k-75k rough estimate, without driving out here to look at it.  This is the first estimate I have gotten and I am still calling others.
