Where are the Landscapers?

Posted in: Castlegate

School isn't as chepa as you think.  I know our Cub Scout troop gets charged $60 an hour to use the school's multipurpose room.  If the meeting is 2-3 hours, that's $120 to $180 at every meeting.  Is it tens of thousands?  No, but it's not what I would consider cheap either.

If you're that paranoid, ask for a copy of the financials, it's there in black and white.  Or e-mail the HOA board, they're more than happy to discuss with folks and they each have e-mail addresses that they share.

The management company is one of the cheapest that we found when placed out to bid.  They also offer the most services for the least amount of money.  Whether or not someone thinks their services is a waste of money is another story.

We have our meetings on a weekday because MOST, not all, but MOST people are home during the week.  People tend to go out on the weekends or just would rather not "waste" their weekend on an HOA meeting.  Therefore, we have found that the best turn out is a weeknight in the evening after dinner time.  If this simply doesn't work for you, or anyone else, I am available quite often and would have no problem with meeting with ANYONE on a personal level to discuss community issues and meeting information.

As far as stealing money, I know this stuff happens in the world we live in, that's why I make sure that everything is as open as possible.  Most HOA's don't post their financial information online for the entire WORLD to see, not just our members.  We do this on the castlegatehome website.  Most HOA's charge for a copy of this information, we post it on the web for everyone to view free of charge.  If anyone would like a more detailed financial report including invoices and reciepts, those are all available upon request.  If you don't want to pay Oasis for a hard copy, they are more than willing to sit down at a scheduled time and go over these documents at their office....free of charge.

I can assure everyone that money is not being pocketed in our community and that we, as a board, are doing our very best to get, and keep our community on the right track.

Here is my email if anyone would like to speak with me personally:  mike@mycastlegatehome.com

If you have been on this website or at any of the HOA meetings you know who I am and what I stand for as well.  I would also like to post my e-mail address for anyone to contact me with any questions please send me a e-mail.  I am your current Treasure and would be happy to sit down in person or via e-mail and discuss anything you would like pertaining to the finances or HOA.  brad@mycastlegatehome.com

hey i wasn't trying to make anyone mad.  im very proud of where i live, the only reason i purchased a home here is because it was clean and kept up nice, now when i look around i shake my head because of how dirty it is and it looks like a truck stop with rigs parked here and there.

oh by the way im not paranoid  im just trying to get answers, when you call a management company 6 or 7 times with promises of a call back and nothing happens you start to feel like there avoiding you.
