Buyer's market

A buyer's market means a seller is going to normally get less than what they really wish for their home. People continue to write crap on here trying to state that houses do not sell because of weeds. That is absolute bull. I see absolutely beautiful homes with perfect green lawns that have also been on the market for a while. Their neighbors lawns are nice also, so the weeds obviously have nothing to do with it. We need to start acting as a community and stop crabbing at each other,

Weeds are not the only issue here. It is appearance, and those who have not sold their homes may want to reconsider the price.

I agree we should act as a community. In a true community everyone takes responsibility for their part of or in that community. Everyone also respects their neighbors. Look to your left, and look to your right, and look behind your home. Then think about whether you are respectful of them, and they are respectful of you. Hey if so great. I know it is not all pretty by my house. How can we get those one or two people to complete this community?

I think we should see if the trustees have sent letters out to the individuals you are referring to. That is the obvious first step. I believe the banks would be responsive as other homes in similar situations have had luck when contacting the bank. If it is a homeowner that still lives there, maybe we should give them the email address of the person who is willing to anonymously help. I am sure the help would be appreciated if they are amidst bad times. I really do not think we can do much else until the trustees have Rickert send out the necessary letters and see where that gets us.
