And, please let me add two more comments.  The speed humps were approved and money allocated for them in open, public meeting by our duly elected representatives.  I was at that meeting and the several meetings prior to that in which speeding on our streets was discussed.  I can not recall one objection to speed humps being voiced by anyone.

So, those who now are voicing their disapproval of things already in effect should show up at meetings so they could state their opinion prior to time to vote on the issue.

And,  I do agree that four humps are not enough.

four humps are NOT enough, one more on each end of North Chadwick would be great and diffenatly not a waste of mine and others tax money, it would be very worth it to save a life.

I couldn't agree more with this post.   I would only add that we should add the speed bumps at the four way stop signs and at the start of each end of the street for this street and bellemeade.

I have been told that North Chadwick Road is actually not a Bellemeade street.  I think that the snow removal is Metro responsibilty.  Maybe Metro has other responsibilities on the street.  I am not sure of the exact legal term that applies to the street; apparently it was a county or state road prior to merger, but since then it has kinda become an orphan.  Was it not paved by Metro just a few years ago?

Maybe we should also be talking to Metro.  Jon Ackerson is our Metro Council representative.  I just remembered that when he was running for election, he stood on my front steps watching the speeders and assured me he would make stopping the speeders a priority if he won the election..  He won and we still have the speeders.
