I have been going back and reading all of Mayor Odom-Groh's numerous assertions that Metro refused to paint the speed bumps/humps when he called them. Now, either he was not very convincing when he called Metro, he called the wrong people, he just thought he called, or he came on too strong like he often does and p----d them off.
I still do NOT understand why he turned down Jon Ackerson's offer back at the beginning of the summer. And, now that Metro says the road is their responsibility, by what authority did he have the right to turn him down. According what Mr. M said Metro told him, Metro has responsibility for North Chadwick, not Bellemeade.
May I suggest that Larry work on his communication skills and listen to residents for a change. Larry, you have three more years on your term. Please listen to the voice of the people and get your act together or resign. You have too many feeble excuses and too few tangible results. Quit screwing things up. In one more year, we will try to elect commissioners who listen to the people which will put you in the minority. Give it up.. you're done.
